PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Alberta Supply Chain Resiliency
Alberta’s Economic Recovery Plan includes several strategies focused on sector-specific needs where Alberta has substantial opportunities for promoting Alberta’s position as a growing hub for logistics. These opportunities leverage the Province’s logistic infrastructure hubs and further enhance Alberta’s position as an innovative hub that allows for the free flow of goods in and out of the province.
The objective of this study was to provide information and recommendations to the Province for government actions required to strengthen Alberta’s supply chain resiliency, and its competitiveness in the growing logistics sector. This included identifying Alberta’s supply chain risks, assessing the resiliency of Alberta supply chain networks, and examining Alberta’s current and future logistics capacity.
Through agreement with CPCS, Lanyi Rail Solutions Ltd provided senior railway engineering technical support with a focus on railway mainline, branchline, and major terminal operating conditions in Alberta and across Western Canada regarding existing supply chain constraints and opportunities to mitigate and improve overall supply chain issues.
Client: Province of Alberta
Role: Railway Network Analyst
Duration: June 2022 to January 2023
Railway Capacity in Alberta

Through agreement with CPCS, Lanyi Rail Solutions Ltd. have provided senior railway engineering technical support with a focus on railway mainline and major terminal capacity analyses.
They have also been involved with the engagement with railway transportation and industry stakeholders to identify current supply chain growth constraints and to determine the needs for expanding existing, or developing new, economic corridors in support of Alberta’s future economic potential.
Client: Province of Alberta
Role: Railway Capacity Specialist
